Conéctate con los deseos de tu niñ@ interior, con ese sabio que tienes dentro, el que tiene todas las respuestas. Sé específico, y que tu palabra declarada esté conectada con tu Mente<=>Corazón, y toma ACCION.

Aquí les comparto una ilustración(doble página) que hice para un cuento infantil publicado en las Navidades del 2008: “Los Reyes Magos llegan de Noche” Incluye un CD con un villancico de Manuel Fernández Juncos. Un cuento colorido, mágico, y hermoso. Estoy muy segura que te traerá recuerdos de tu niñez. *¡Y que tus sueños se hagan realidad!

What is what you really want for You? What are your dreams and desires? Start decreeing but with the power of vision that is possible for you. Connect with that inner child of you, that little wise who has all the answers, and believe it. How does it work? Well not by just saying it, but by connecting it your Mind and Heart and follow it by taking ACTION. And remember to be VERY specific (with details, descriptions and everything!)

Here I am sharing an illustrated page (above) I did last year for a children’s book published in Christmas 2008: “Los Reyes Magos llegan de Noche”. It includes a CD with a beautiful song (villancico) written by Manuel Fernández Juncos. This is a beautiful book, with charm and colorful illustrations, it is a book that will make you reconnect with your inner child, with essence and magic. *May your all your wishes become true!

From my inner self to yours. A Healed Heart. ♥ This is a drawing I did the other day. Something I am entirely sure about is the possibility to cure and heal through art. I feel relief when I do this type of art, it feels like when you take some of your weight out. I have been creating a collection of drawings related to this topic. They are part of a project I want to see become true in 2010.

Ella es linda Amaya y al parecer está bien conectada con el Reino de las Hadas y las libélulas. Aquí les muestro una foto junto con la ilustración de libélula(impresa) pedida por Julieta, la madre de Amaya. Julieta bien conoce el corazón de su hija. Un día brillante en el parque, una libélula se posó en su frisa blanca, qué interesante. Y como bien saben…no creo en “casualidades”. Les parece májiko?

This is beautiful Amaya. Julieta, her mother bought me the “Dragonfly print” for her room. I can see Julieta is very well connected with her daugther’s heart. I have no doubt, that Amaya is totally connected with the Faery realm and dragonflies. Since I don’t believe in casualties, here is another proof. One day at the park, a dragonfly visited her and sat on her white blanket. Isn’t it “majeakal”?

Bee-witched

Aquí les muestro un diseño que hice para usarse en un taza. Lamentablemente ya no se usará (y créanme, no querrán saber qué hizo la señora con su taza!). Mi clienta y su equipo de trabajo eligieron mi diseño, Yesss!!!Pero a mi se me está ocurriendo algo. Ya no podré reciclar este diseño, de todas maneras la abejita es mía, así que, sigue “beeeezeando” en mi cabeza. Cuando tenga la muestra de la taza se la muestro en foto. A ver qué sale de ésta mezcla mágica natural. Buena semana!

Here is a design I made for a cup. Sadly it will not be used (but trust me you don’t want to “hear” what “she” did with the cup!) My client and her employees chose my design for the cup, yess!!!. As soon as I have a picture of the final product I will post it. However nothing is a waste  of time and effort.  I am thinking on doing something with the design, hum….”mixing magical thoughts” and see what will happen! A “healing bee!” Have a fun week!

Little Yoga

Oh, seguro que sí. Desde hace tiempo quiero hacer Yoga y/o Tai Chi. Me apoyará mucho a liberar mi estrés, flexibilizar, desintoxicar y armonizar mente, cuerpo y espíritu…seguro que sí. Ya por lo menos he visitado tres centros y ya me decidí!!! Me organizaré para comenzarlos en Diciembre. Pero entonces, también quiero otra cosa: tomar clases de baile!! que si tango, salsa, danza moderna o “belly dancing”. ¿Pero que pasa? Debo tomar una cosa a la vez. Y esto viene, pero por el momento siento debe esperar, pues quiero arrancar con lo que ya empecé. Lo que viene tiene que ver con Australia, Bienvenida a mi vida! Sí…está en proceso.

Mientras, los dejo con esta menina. Que tengan una semana brillante!

P.D. Mira! Tiene piernitas de “espaguetis” ideal para el tema de “Illustration Friday” de esta semana: “Skinny”.

Wanting lately to practice either Yoga, Tai Chi or Dancing. I know, I know, (hehe!), I want to do so many things!! But one thing at a time. The good thing is that I just found a great space to do all that, but they don’t teach dancing (not for the moment). I really love to danca salsa, modern dance, tango, but also want to experiment with “belly dancing”. I am looking for the right place for it. I really hope to start at least doing Yoga or Tai Chi soon. I believe this will help me to harmonize mind, body and soul.

On the other side I am still working in a educational project and also drawing many new other things that has nothing to do with children illustration, it more like a personal thing (I will post it here, later). I find it very interesting, I feel like I am discovering new things about myself, that were hidden deep inside of me. My dream is going to become true is on its way, I am feeling it! Like I mentioned in other post, things arrive just right in time, and it will be perfect. Everything has its own reason. Meanwhile I am welcoming Australia! And I will leave you with this little “menina”. Have you all a brilliant week! ♥

P.S. Oh, she has “spaguetti legs”! so I guess she can fit for this week’s theme for Illustration Friday: “Skinny”!!

Hola! Hace tiempo que les había dicho que mi copia de “The Garden of Eye Candy” había llegado. Y poco tiempo después de fui al Jardín Botánico de Río Piedras a tomarme unas fotos con el libro. El sol tibio de las 5:00pm, y el sonido de los árboles, el viento y la fauna fueron mis cómplices y compañía. Aquí les comparto algo. Uh-la-láa! Gracias a Juan y al equipo de Bigbrosworkshop.

Por el otro lado, les dejo saber que he estado MUY muy muy ocupada, pero recordando que hay que vivir el momento. Y admito extraño actualizar mi blog y visitar mis compañeros de la “blogosfera”. Gracias por visitar, les envío buena vibra. Y que disfruten de “los DOS jardines!”

El problema es que lo piensa demasiado y aún cree que no está listo. ¿Cuándo es que realmente estamos listos para Vivir al máximo, Vivir nuestro Presente? Eso no se piensa mucho, se vive desde el amor.

The illustrations above are for the House Publisher I am working now. The adorable “Mellow” monster for Nick is on pending, and already making time to finish it. I am having a lot of work, which is great, thankful as always, letting it flow….

Me fascina este ilustrador japonés: Toshiyuki Fukuda. Lo descubrí en el libro de “The Garden of Eye Candy” (De paso, pronto les mostraré el libro, es delicioso!)

Nos recibe con composiciones inteligentes, texturas ricas y paleta de color endulzante. Sus personajes son genuinamente adorables y excéntricos. Muy buenos diseños e ilustraciones. Si sienten más curiosidad, los invito a que visiten su portafolio para que conozcan más de su trabajo y viajen a su niñez, a dónde me fui yo.

I am Loving this japanese illustrator: Toshiyuki Fukuda. Just found him at the “Garden of Eye Candy” book (By the way, I will showing some peeks of my book-copy soon!).

I really adore the textures, such yummy contrasting color palette, and excentric yet adorable characters in all of his illustrations. If you feel curious for more, visit his portfolio, have blast, enjoy the journey that could take you back to your childhood, exactly where it took me too. Just fabulous.
